Glasfryn Cable Wakeparc sits near Pwllheli on the Llyn Peninsula in north-west Wales — one of two main cable wakeboard parks in north Wales, set on a private estate lake with views across the peninsula to Cardigan Bay. It’s been running since the early 2000s and remains one of the most established cable parks in the UK.
What to expect
A full-size five-tower cable with a graded obstacle park — kicker, slider, fun-box. The beginner cable runs separately at slower speeds. The Estate also offers other activities (clay pigeon shooting, archery, axe throwing) which makes it a useful group venue. Wakeboarding kit hire is included in standard lesson packages.
Practical notes
Open April through October. Wetsuit: 3/2 summer, 4/3 autumn. Pwllheli and Abersoch are the natural overnight bases — both have B&B, self-catering and small hotel options. Bookings via the Glasfryn website. Combine a wakeboarding day with surfing at Hells Mouth (Porth Neigwl), a coastal walk on the Wales Coast Path, or a Snowdonia day. Most riders make it part of a wider Llyn Peninsula weekend.
