Llangennith Beach Surfing In Wales

Llangennith beach surfing has consistent waves for all abilities.  In 2013 it was voted Britain’s best beach and is a glorious 3 miles of golden sand.  It’s found only 16 miles west of Swansea in the Rhossili Bay and is one of the best places to surf in south Wales.

The waves are best on the north side at 3 Peaks with more power and shape to them and the best conditions are when the wind is coming from the east and there’s a south-westly swell.

Llangennith beach is favourite surf spot in Wales for many people which is backed up by the plethora of surf schools that you’ll find in the area using the beach (more information on those below).

On good days the surf can get a little crowded but as Llangennith beach is pretty big you are able to find your own clearing if you’d like to get a clearer, but less sociable ride.  If you’re there to learn then don’t worry about this as the surf schools will take you to the right spots.
