Stoney Cove in Leicestershire is the UK's best-known inland dive site — a flooded former quarry used for training and recreation right across the Midlands.
What to expect
A deep, clear flooded quarry with sunken attractions (boats, a plane, platforms) set at staged depths, plus a dive centre, air fills and easy shore access. It is the classic place to train or to dive midweek anywhere near the Midlands. It is cold and dark at depth, but with good visibility by UK standards.
