Swinley Forest Mountain Biking

Swinley Forest Mountain Biking is one of the best mountain biking locations in the south east of England.  As the name suggests it’s located in Swinley Forest which covers 2,600 acres, and has 24km of purpose built mountain biking trails.

The area is well setup for families with parking, a cafe and other activities in addition to mountain biking available.

There are trails that all levels of riders will enjoy from complete beginners to experts, however the level does not go higher that Red.

There are 3 main trails

  • Green Trail, about 900 meters with gentle dips and climbs.  Great for beginners getting use to off road riding.
  • Blue Trail, 8.7km, good for intermediate level riders with some loose surface and small features.  The gradient is slightly more pronounced with steeper descents and climbs.
  • Red Trail, 13.7km, twisty, steep and technical in places with longer descents and suited to the more advanced and confident riders.
