South Coast Wakepark sits on a private lake near Lymington on the Hampshire coast — the closest cable wakeboard park to the central south coast. It opened in 2016 and serves the catchment between Southampton, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight.
What to expect
A full-size cable with a basic obstacle park — kicker, slider. A separate beginner cable runs at slower speeds for learner sessions. The lake is well-sheltered by surrounding woodland, which keeps it usable in conditions that would shut down more exposed venues. Kit hire is full; lesson packages cover absolute beginners through to intermediate trick coaching.
Practical notes
Open April through October. Wetsuit: 3/2 summer, 4/3 from September. Bookings via the South Coast Wakepark website. Lymington, Beaulieu and Brockenhurst all have B&B and small-hotel accommodation; the Isle of Wight is a 30-minute ferry from Lymington. Combine with a New Forest walk, a beach day at the Solent coast, or a Beaulieu Motor Museum visit.
